To say the truth, I faced communication problem when I came to United State as English is not my mother tongue. In the first month, I do not have confidence to talk to American as I think that they will not understand me. Sometimes when I talked to them, they will show me a face that full of question or will ask me to repeat. :( It has been 3 months staying in United State, and I am use to the life over here. I take the first steps to talk to American and I talk to them confidently. Although my English is not as good as them, I still will talk to them confidently cause I won't give a shit about how people view me here. Start to take a move and we will learn something. There is a idiom in mandarin "不入虎穴,焉得虎子" means that "Nothing venture, Nothing gain".
Now, I tried my best to join the activities here. Well, We must have Life in United State! Right? : D HAHA
Recently, I just joined a club. I love to experience different stuff even it's just a club. I want to see how people run their club in US compared to my country. This Saturday will be the first activity that I will join. HOHO. Wish me good luck and all the best! ^^ It's a kind of volunteer work that I need to do during Easter. Hehe, I join this event because I want to experience how American celebrate the Easter. Have Fun~
Besides, I also work hard to try to watch more American movie and drama to improve my English. Everyday, I will force myself to watch at least 1 movie or 1 episode of the TV series. It's not too late to improve my English. I know I have English pronunciation problem and the lack of vocabulary. However, I will not give up. There is one more month for me to experience in US and I will keep fighting to achieve my goal and enjoy my life too. ^^ I think when I left US, I will definitely miss here, the people and cultures that drive me to become a more mature person.
IF you have a chance to study OR work OR go OR travel to other countries, just grab the chance, it will definitely open up your mind. Besides, you will learn to become more independent and learn to improve your interpersonal communication skill.
Anyways, there is a funny thing happen in my class. My American classmate want to learn Malay language and mandarin. During the class, they will ask me how to speak "What's up" in Malay. Then, I say "Apa khabar". Then few days later, they know how to say it and they keep saying to me. Then, Do you know what words they want to learn next? HAHA. They ask me how to pronounce F** you in mandarin. =.= I taught them bad words like "diao ni" and my friend taught them "diu nei lou mou". =.= I feel so bad. They even laugh at me when I say F** you (in english) cause they say I pronounce it in a very funny way. o.o
Anyways, they are really kind and funny person that I had met. Definitely miss you guys when I go back to Malaysia.
HAHA
